Tool #4: Grit

Now, it’s time for action. Tool No. 4, unlike mindfulness, the inner voice, and visualization, connects the mind and body by action. To do this requires grit.

Grit is a combination of tenacity and willpower, characterized by the willingness to persevere. Simply stated, it is doing the uncomfortable.

The good news: grit is a skill that is trainable—click here to learn about the science. The challenge: we have to do something that’s challenging but that we know will be good for us. With time and action, grit solidifies strong mental resilience.
